Catastrophic Assessments & Case Management

Catastrophic Assessments are used to determine if claimants meet the Statutory Accident Benefit Schedule (SABS) criteria for a catastrophic impairment. The assessment is required to be complete and to cover a claimant’s entire physical, mental and behavioral state to determine their overall condition and suspected level of impairment.

Our Catastrophic Case Management team put and emphasis on data collection and communication with the client and health care team, allowing our management team to provide you with an assessment of the claimant’s needs and plan of care.

K.C. McKee Medical Evaluation Centres’ catastrophic case managers have the expertise needed to successfully manage these types of injuries and illnesses. We always follow the AMA guidelines specified in SABS, which pertain to the 4th AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment for Physical impairments and the 6th AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment for Mental/Behavioral impairments to address the Whole Person Injury percentage.
